Conferences, Workshops and Events

As a professional association, AWSP provides programming that is geared to meet the needs of today’s principals and assistant principals. Our training calendar frequently draws on experts in everything from school finance to school improvement and school law. But AWSP also often provides training, workshops, conferences and classes for ASB advisors, central office staff, district administrators and teachers.

This section of the AWSP website includes all of the information principals need regarding upcoming professional development sessions—members can even register for conferences and workshops online. Members have access to current professional development news and events via the AWSP e-newsletter, Fast Forward, which is also archived online.

Cluster Grant

Cluster grants are designed to support professional development of groups of principals in a region or district, increasing leadership skills of principals and assistant principals for the improvement of educational programs and services for students.

During any one school year, members of AWSP can apply for up to two cluster grants of $800 each. Approval of grants will depend upon funding available.
