Planning & Packing

Managing a Chewelah Peak visit has many aspects. This section is designed to help you think of the myriad details involved in a successful experience. While these lists may not be definitive, they will certainly get you started. Packing for the weather on Chewelah Peak can be one of the biggest dilemmas.  Best wishes for a rewarding experience at Chewelah Peak!

  • Signed contract
  • Completed Program/Facilities form (green)
  • Certificate of Insurance form

Assign camp roles:

Planning a program:

  • Discuss your designed program (content, class or group sizes, times) with the Chewelah Peak staff so they can assign the proper rooms and locations to you based on your program needs

  • Masking tape or blue painters tape are allowed to attach items to walls and windows (no other types of tape or pins are accepted)
  • The weather is much different at Chewelah Peak than in Chewelah, Colville, Spokane, or any other lower elevation city.  49 Degrees North  has a Web Cam installed at the ski hill across the road from Chewelah Peak Learning Center.  Visit their site to see a recent picture of the mountain (access www.ski49n.com and click on WebCam.)
