Where do you want to be when the snow falls? Chewelah Peak Learning Center! We offer overnight lodging and meals, so with our super convenient location next to 49 Degrees North Ski Resort (less than a mile away!), great trails for snow shoeing, and amazing views Chewelah Peak really is the place to be.

 Overnight Charges & Information

$15.00 per person per night to stay in one of the dorms at Chewelah Peak Learning Center (CPLC) (note: dorm floors can be separated into male and female areas).All guests must bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, towels and toiletries. Dorms have open floor plans with 1-15 bunk beds per room.

Dorm layouts:
The Abode (Dorm A) sleeps 106 guests (66 lower level, 40 upper level)
La Casa (Dorm B) sleeps 88 guests.

 Meals

Groups may elect to dine at CPLC or at the ski hill café. A minimum of 10 people is required to schedule meals at CPLC and the meals must be scheduled in advance. All CPLC meals are served buffet-style and menu items area at the chef’s discretion. CPLC Ski & Stay meal rates & times:

  • 8:00 a.m.-Breakfast: $7.00
  • Noon-Lunch $8.00
  • 5:00 p.m.-Dinner $10.00

Note: The Ski Hill offers their own meals & rates- contact 49 Degrees North for details.

  Paperwork & Cleaning Requirements

Ski & Stay paperwork must be signed and returned one month before the scheduled event and payments are due two weeks in advance (cash or checks only.) Paperwork includes: contract, signed insurance waiver form(s), and a credit card copy on file for damages. Groups must set up and stow away tables and chairs in the dining hall, plus sweep and mop all areas they occupy before departure.

Group Ski Passes

Groups staying at CPLC are eligible for group rates for the 49 Degrees North Mountain Resort during their stay. Let us know if you are interested and we can help you work with the ski hill to get this special rate for tickets, equipment and lessons. Reservations at the Ski Hill must be made at least 5 days in advance, and all group paperwork must be received no later than 4 days prior to the groups visit.    Groups may also participate in the ski hill resort activities such as cross country and snow shoe trails. Snow shoes are also available for use at the Learning Center. You should contact the ski resort directly for details and rates (509.935.6649) or visit the 49 Degrees North Ski Resort Web site.
