Torch of Leadership Award

The Torch of Leadership Award honors Washington state-level public servants who have demonstrated support of principals and the principalship in the education of all students. AWSP established the award in 2009.

Nominations are submitted by members of AWSP's Legislation Committee and final selection is made by a panel of committee and staff members.

Recipients are named in the spring after each legislative session. Recipients are then honored the following October at AWSP's regular fall Legislation Committee meeting.
