May 9, 2007 Local principal wins state honorThe Seattle Times Marysville Middle School Principal Pete Lundberg was named Middle Level Principal of the Year by the Association of Washington School Principals last month. Lundberg, 57, who has been a principal at the school for 15 years, was praised for his efforts to create a team approach to leadership and to build trust among students, faculty and administrators. Teacher Kari Lowry said Lundberg fosters a spirit of teamwork to improve student learning, and inspires people throughout the school. Lundberg holds a master's degree in education from the University of Puget Sound and a bachelor of arts in education and psychology from Eastern Washington University. He has been a school administrator for 21 years in the Marysville School District. |
