Leadership Coaching Services: Transforming Leaders and Schools

Research suggests that principals who seek the assistance of a leadership coach are more successful as school administrators. That’s why providing principals with leadership coaching is one of the most important services AWSP can provide its members.

AWSP's Leadership Coaching Services are available to any AWSP member currently serving in a leadership position in Washington state’s elementary, middle or high schools. This includes interns, deans of students, assistant principals and principals. Regardless of where you are in your career—whether you are new to the principalship or you are a veteran administrator—you can always benefit from external leadership guidance. Plus, by seeking leadership professional support, you help set the tone for teachers in your school who may be in need of additional input from others.

What We Offer

• Comprehensive, confidential, formative evaluations feedback, surveys and assessments
• One-on-one sessions with a trained coach
• Assistance with the development of professional goals, implementation strategies and identification of resources to assist with goal completion

The AWSP Leadership Coaches

AWSP has invested in a cadre of experienced principals to serve as coaches. All our coaches hold master's or doctoral degrees in education or educational leadership, and have rich backgrounds in building-level and district-level experience in K-12 schools statewide. Our coaches understand the value of well-trained, effective building leaders, and they are committed to your individual success as an educational leader.
