Tribute to Don "Pop" Leer: Don Fowler (left) listened to Bill Lahmann (right) speak of his good friend and mentor, Don "Pop" Leer. Don Leer is the acknowledged "father" of student leadership. Through Don Leer, Don Fowler became involved in student leadership in 1956 and stayed active until 1975. Bill Lahmann, Superintendent of Olympia School District, was one of Don Leer's students. |
