Five short information videos capture the essence of the cyberspace world common to students, yet mostly unknown to the adult world. These videos, many student produced, can serve as discussion starters in leadership classes.

Alliance 4 Student Activities

The Alliance for Student Activities was founded by a group of educators and trainers who realized the need for a unifying voice and network to promote the benefits and processes of cocurricular activities. They are involved with advocacy, training, resources and networking to promote the value of student activities. 

Carl "Energizer E" Olson Carl, “Energizer E” Olson is a motivational speaker based in Wisconsin. His Toolbox link contains various props, books and instructional DVDs designed to enhance a facilitator’s bag of tricks. An interesting resource is the DVDs “Leadership in the Movies I, II and III”, which each contain 52 clips from recent movies related to leadership. 
Do Something Do Something is an excellent, student-friendly site for community service advice. Their mission is to inspire, support and celebrate a generation of do-ers. The site includes a “Causes” link organized alphabetically with each cause having a section on how to take action, related organizations and resources. Grants are also available through the Do Something organization.
Jordan Jensen: The Power of Personal Leadership Jordan Jensen, the author of the book I am Sovereign, is a resource for teachers, students, parents and anyone else with a vested interest in the personal leadership development of secondary students. Jensen produces a monthly newsletter, conducts workshops and is available as a keynote speaker.
Josephson Institute The nonprofit Josephson Institute administers the national office of Character Counts!, the Pursuing Victory With Honor sportsmanship campaign and the Foundations for Life essay and recognition program. The mission of all of these endeavors is to improve the ethical quality of society by changing personal and organizational decision making and behavior.
Leadership to Go

Veteran student leadership adviser Ed Cinquini from Oregon has created a site dedicated to student leadership. The purpose of the site is to provide information for students and advisors to build leadership skills and to promote student involvement. The site is free and all Ed asks of you is that you post some of your ideas on the site.

Operation Respect: Don't Laugh at Me Operation Respect is a non-profit organization working to assure each child and youth a respectful, safe and compassionate climate of learning where their academic, social and emotional development can take place free of bullying, ridicule and violence. Founded by Peter Yarrow of the folk group Peter, Paul & Mary, the organization has created “Don’t Laugh at Me” educational resources for grades 2-5 and grades 6-8.
National Association of Student Councils  The National Association of Student Councils (NASC) is a national organization with a mission to serve student leaders and their advisers.  Their site is rich with current articles, ideas and information regarding student leadership.  They also have an extensive on-line bookstore.
Spirit Works The Spirit Works company founded by Bob Burton is dedicated to sharing ideas to improve school climate in school. The company's two books are full of ideas for school spirit, games and activities and innovative ways to involve more students in school activities.  
Steve Spangler Science Great leadership and science demonstration supplies.
Washington Activity Coordinators Association The Washington Activity Coordinators Association (WACA) is a professional organization that has provided training for student leadership advisers since the early 70s.  Their idea share link is full of practical activities contributed by its members.  The annual WACA conference in Vancouver during mid-March attracts more than 400 enthusiastic participants.
