Mid-Level Camps held at the Cispus
Learning Center and the Chewelah Peak Learning Center provide young
leaders the opportunity to develop their leadership potential, gain and
improve leadership skills and discover how they can better serve
their school and make new friends in the
process.
Camp is a four
day intensive leadership experience designed for elected student
goverment officers and highly motivated student leaders. Camps are open
to students enrolled in middle schools or junior highs entering grades
7,8 or 9. The Camp's activity oriented curriculum is structured
around five components: communication skills, group processes,
manegerial skills, self-awareness and human relations skills. The
staff is composed of an administrative team, fifteen middle level
activity advisers and professionals with backgrounds in
leadership. College students and high school leaders serve as
Resident Counselors. An optional adviser workshop is offered in
conjunction with each session of camp. 20 clock hours are
available. Students attend camp independent of their
advisers.
