About the Workshop

The assistant principal mission can feel impossible. AWSP is here to help with a workshop designed to help you succeed and make you an agent of change at your school. We'll cover topics like:

  • Understanding the new discipline laws
  • Preparing for your evaluation through the lends of the AP
  • Creating school climate and culture from the role of the AP
  • MTSS (Restorative justice, PBIS, culturally responsive leadership)
  • Having difficult conversations
  • Managing the workday and self-care
  • Tackling student growth with teachers
  • Becoming an equity leader

We'll also include time to collaborate and share best practices with assistant principals from all over the state.

Audience

Assistant principals, vice principals, deans of students, associate principals, and principal interns.
