Are you in your first or second year at a new school?
Your first years as a lead principal can be some of the most exciting—and challenging—of your career. Every day brings new decisions, new relationships, and new opportunities to shape the culture, systems, and learning experiences within your school.
The reality is that school leadership can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying those responsibilities alone. That’s why the Launching School Leadership Network is more than a workshop series—it’s a cohort experience designed to connect you with other leaders who are navigating the same challenges, asking similar questions, and learning alongside you in real time.
Whether you’re stepping into your first leadership role or leading in a new building, this network provides practical tools, trusted support, and a community of peers who understand the realities of the work. Together, you’ll learn from experienced facilitators, collaborate with colleagues from across Washington, and build relationships that extend far beyond the sessions themselves.
Strong school leadership doesn’t happen in isolation. The most effective leaders grow through reflection, feedback, problem-solving, and shared learning. By joining a statewide network of fellow principals, you’ll gain fresh perspectives, practical strategies, and a professional support system you can rely on throughout the year.
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Launch your leadership journey with a community that is committed to helping you grow, thrive, and lead with confidence.
Why Join?
- Build your leadership network across Washington
- Learn from experienced principals and AWSP facilitators
- Bring real challenges and leave with practical solutions
- Reflect on your leadership growth throughout the year
- Reduce the isolation that many new principals experience
What Leaders Say
“I want to thank you for the last two days of learning. The topics you presented were exactly what I needed to hear right now and I feel better prepared to tackle the next 90 days. Looking forward to more learning with all of you in November.”
