We've heard loud and clear from our members; new discipline laws and data around childhood trauma are making principals rethink the way they handle discipline and student behavior at every grade level. How will you maintain school culture with the impact of new discipline laws and expectations? K-12 principals are in the middle of balancing the needs of all kids while keeping everyone safe. Suspensions are counter-productive to learning for everyone involved, but what's the right answer?

You'll leave this workshop with:
  •  Clarity on the new discipline rules
  •  Strategies for Trauma-Informed Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and restorative justice practices
  •  A better lens to examine the proportionality of discipline data
  •  Ideas for working with teachers on early behavior interventions for students in the classroom

*Please note: this workshop is replacing the Washington Educators' Conference (WEC).
