Congrats to PEMCO’s “Principals on the Pitch” Winner Seth Adams!

PEMCO, a longtime AWSP Business Partner, held their “Principals on the Pitch” event during halftime of the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy match on Saturday, October 25 as part of the Sounders FC and PEMCO celebration of National Principals Month. Dozens of principals competed for the $2,000 and $1,000 first- and second-place prizes for their school, among other contest goodies. Talk about a very unique and cool recognition program. PEMCO’s blog describes the event:

Gentlemen, start your … hamster balls! OK, so the race didn’t really start that way. But Seth Adams of Issaquah Middle School, first to cross the finish line in Saturday’s Principals on the Pitch hamster-ball obstacle course race, probably couldn’t have been happier had he claimed a Formula One championship.

“This was easily one of the most memorable experiences of my life!” said Seth. “I’m a huge soccer fan, so being out there on the same field the Sounders play on was one aspect of it. But more importantly, being there as a representative of Issaquah Middle School and having the students and my family there in support was amazing. It was a wonderful experience for us to share together.”

Founded by a teacher in 1949, PEMCO has a deep connection to schools and continues to support education through events like this and supporting education associations (like ours!). To read more about “Principals on the Pitch” and see the full list of the excellent nominees, check out their blog post
