We all know that taking attendance is mandatory. We also all know that taking attendance is one of those daily systems that either supports or detracts from learning. We are making a plea to our members to share their best practices around attendance systems. Enough is enough - let’s stop the suffering and bombardment for principals in attendance-related issues!
If you’ve discovered a system that reduces tardy numbers, reduces absenteeism, minimizes paperwork and tracking, and increases the time students spend learning, we want to hear from you. We would like to get a group of principals together to help discuss and share the best practices of positive attendance systems. Your colleagues are thirsty for answers, so don’t be shy. Leave your comment below or email Scott to get involved in solving this dilemma or to share some tips for what is working in your school or community.
