Advocacy is Built on Relationships

We encourage our members to be in contact with their legislators. One of the most effective ways to familiarize lawmakers with the issues your school or district is facing is to invite them to visit. Ask them to come to your school to talk with students and teachers, attend a staff meeting, a PTA meeting or a special event. Add them to your newsletter distribution list so they can follow your school’s progress.

Not sure where to begin? Already got a meeting scheduled? Our tip sheet will show you some of the best ways to communicate with lawmakers and their staffs.

Videos To Help You Advocate

The principalship is one of the most rewarding and challenging jobs on the planet. It's incredibly complicated, nuanced, and oftentimes misunderstood. That's why we've created two videos to help tell the story about the impact and modern realities principals have and face.
