National Principals Month

Celebrate with Us!

October is National Principals Month. Help celebrate by using the hashtag #ThankAPrincipal and spread the word.

We know how busy you are. Our 2018 survey revealed 72 percent of principals work 56 hours per week or more. Ninety-one percent of you don’t feel like you can get your work done in an average work week.

We think that number is way too high, and we’ve made it our mission to discover more and new ways to support you and your colleagues in the critical work you do. This month. we want you to celebrate yourself and each other.

Facebook Promotion and Prizes

Each week in October we’re posting a question or prompt on Facebook, and choosing four weekly winners from the responses to receive a $25 AWSP-branded Amazon gift card. (Video entries that we can use in our AWSP news segment will have a greater chance of winning!)

We get amazing and inspirational answers every October. We can’t wait to see what you’ll share this year.

National Principals Month

Each October, the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), NAESP, and NASSP join forces to celebrate our nation’s principals. This year, National Principals Month is shifting focus and using its platform to advocate on behalf of principals. These school leaders fight every day to give their students the best education and it’s time we advocate for them and with them.

Lend your voice this October to honor, celebrate, and advocate for principals everywhere.
