Learning Centers Advisory Committee
The members of the Learning Centers Advisory Committee (LCAC) define common goals, identify community needs and resources and advise on operations and marketing activities for the Cispus and Chewelah Peak Learning Centers. AWSP is the only principals association in the country to own a learning center focused on outdoor education — and we have two!
Encouraging outdoor education is key to the association and is one of the seven goals in the AWSP Strategic Plan. The Learning Centers Committee is responsible for:
Helping market and develop the centers
Monitor budget and facility use
Serving as ambassadors to the larger education community
Assisting with finding local support for the Learning Centers
Members and Meetings
The Learning Center Advisory Committee includes principals, assistant principals and key members of the community and private sector who have an interest in facilities management and outdoor education.
